I never thought of my work as being controversial, however, since the internet is still a bit like the old west, where the lowest forms of life can do their evil without the "inconvenience of law and order", I have had to disable my guestbook. I have been under attack for weeks by some vandals who don't have the courage to identify themselves. May they fall prey to their own worthless kind.
Below are some kind comments from those who give me some hope for mankind.
Thank you all, Sam

Sam

Your pictures and web site are inspiring. Your talent and ability to see so much with the lens of your Camera is impressive. I love the Gilroy Tree and the Fort Ross picture it brings back so many memories of my trip there. I would love to have the Pigeon Point Lighthouse in my living room. The flea Market and Trading Post pictures are so artistic and the colors are terrific. I really want to see your Cemetery Pictures because the Statue Picture you have on the site. Good luck! I am a fan!

I didn't realize that a camera could do that kind of thing. I mean, how does that work? Do the objects actually get sucked up into the camera and then you take them out and actually paste them on paper? I love the pictures. Great Work. -Sherod Waite

Sam, (this is an old friend, Sheri Foster/Brady) I love your signature watercolor effect! Your images are very unique also. Are those birds on strings? How do you get them just where you want them? ha ha Here's my dream...let's plan a photography sabatical...you, me, Michelle and my new friend, Mark. We can all shoot and have a great time...perhaps pair this activity with a great jazz/blues festival somewhere inspiring. Port Townsend, WA is a great Victorian seaport that would make you drool. What do you think? Take care! -Sheri

Beautiful. To me Sam the Monterey area is the most beautiful place in the world. I first saw it in late Dec '63 when my wife, small son(6 months) and I arrived to begin class at the Defense Language Institute. At first sight there was a mystique which captured me and still remains to this day. Our second child, a son was born there in Sept '64. We live in San Jose and visit your area as often as we can and continues to provide much enjoyment. About 9 yrs ago we had a local PG artist do a painting for us of Point Pinos lighthouse. He used to be at the PG golf course and had a variety of prints for sale. It is a good painting but not one of his best. Do you have any prints similar to the lighthouse print which is at top of page,ie pgmuseum.org/Lighthouse.htm? If so we are interested in purchasing one. Thanks and best regards. John O'Loughlin
